We open with the NYSAC’s decision to have Margarito’s eye evaluated by a doctor of their choosing in order to determine if he’s fit to be in the ring. While Top Rank worried about their fighter getting cleared to fight, Margarito was back at camp continuing to work. The eye is not a problem for Team Margarito as trainer Robert Garcia actually encourages their sparring partners to attack the eye since they know Cotto will. Left hooks will come aplenty and Garcia wants Margarito to work on dealing with them in sparring since he definitely will have to on fight night.

We learn Miguel Cotto’s new trainer, Pedro Diaz, defected from Cuba 3 years ago after being in charge of the Cuban Amateur team for 2 decades. He left behind his wife and 2 kids but it’s a sacrifice that he says was necessary and does not regret. Many didn’t think it was a good idea for Cotto to switch trainers especially for a fight as big as this one. Diaz will have a huge task at hand as his professional experience isn’t nearly as impressive as his amateur one. But a win here will give him a great start and name recognition on his professional resume.

Back in Mexico, we see Margarito partaking in some boxing fitness exercises meant to work on his legs and build speed. If the Mexican pressure fighter needs anything, it’s to be in excellent shape as his stamina is vital to be able to give his opponent as little breathing room as possible on fight night.

His camp however is interrupted as he must make the trip to New York to have his eye evaluated in order to be granted his boxing license. The 30 hour back and forth trip is one Margarito would prefer not to make but understands it’s necessary. After arriving in New York, he’s evaluated first by Top Rank’s doctors to give them assurance before heading to the real exam that will determine his eligibility to be licensed.

Back in Orlando, Cotto’s wife and kids arrive as they are reunited for the first time in 5 weeks. Hearing his wife Melissa reflect on her husband’s first fight with Margarito is a clear indication this fight is personal to everyone involved – not just the fighters. That night is a memory that still haunts her and admits has scarred her and her family. When it comes to Margarito, she feels anger and rather not even give him any thought as he does not deserve it. Much like her husband, she’s convinced Margarito used plaster in the fight and feels he played with Miguel’s life. Animosity runs deep and goes to show the personal level this fight truly carries.

We are taken to the day the NYSAC commission rules in favor to license Margarito and for the fight to carry on as originally planned. The only thing worse than the NYSAC putting the fight in jeopardy to begin with was Carl Moretti’s exaggerated acting job when finding out the fight would go on.

The New York skyline and bird’s eye view of Madison Square Garden almost gives you chills as we all know this is where the fight truly belongs. Margarito going into the lion’s den as Cotto goes for redemption is a classic setting for hopefully another classic fight.

“I don’t feel any respect for him, you know. And I’m going to take advantage of his eye, like he took advantage of the plaster” says a confident Cotto.

“F*ck Cotto. If he thinks that I had plaster, it will hurt like I was using plaster. And he will know it” said an irate Margarito.

It was another great episode with real storylines that have to do with the fight. While this series only ran 2 episodes, it maybe a realization that this is how the series should be.

More condensed installments seem to be key as there is usually a drop off or lack of things to cover going into the 3rd episode. If anything, HBO should continue what it did with Ortiz-Mayweather where the cameras continue to roll during fight week and after the fight. That’s just, if not more, important as the aftermath is what we’d really like see; especially for this fight.

The tension between both camps only seems to be escalating as the fight draws nearer. Those lucky to be in the arena on December 3rd will no doubt be treated to an electrifying atmosphere at the very least. And while we may be itching for a third episode of this series, just look on the bright side; we’ll get the actual fight next week.

THQ has confirmed that Darksiders 2′s story will take place in the same time period as the first game, only this time players will take control of the Horseman Death, instead of his brother War.

The game will reportedly take place across fully new groups of maps, confirmed to be double in increasing size to that of its ancestors. The game will also feature the outstanding two cavaliers (Fury and Strife) in some capacity. . In the July 2011 the release of Game Informer, covers contains details that a city hub will connect to a numeral of dungeons and that one city area will contain extra dungeons than the previous of Darksiders I. Loot will also be included, releasing from encounters as rewards ranging from armor piece with 12 different categories, which can have different magic and may strengthen up Death’s Wrath Powers.

The game will take Death across multiple dungeons and city hubs. City hubs feature NPCs who can give outside quests in the Darksiders 2. Certainly with the way I looked on it on how the punch was delivered i can say it something that can really knock someone down but the problem was it doesn’t look like a punch we consider a knockout punch, what I want to say is it was a good punch but it seems it is not something that could knock some cold sleeping in the floor. In respect with Juan Manuel Marquez we all know that when it comes to ability, talent and experience Ramos is still far beyond the level but honestly the Colombian boxer is not easy to beat fighter in his professional record, he was only been knocked once in a match and it was a hell of a fight with a I consider also a talented boxer Jorge Solis of Mexico,

It was obvious to all of us that Juan Manuel Marquez need to be victorious in his fight for Ramos to ensure a face off their last and third fight with Pacquaio, however with the result of this tune up fight, I don’t think Juan Manuel Marquez got the tune up work out that he expected and needed,  The way I understand a tune-up fight, fighters on that will practice combinations they will be using and do testing with their current stamina and most likely extend their tune up fight till to sixth then end the bout at that point of time, honestly this tune up bout with Likar Ramos did nothing  for Marquez benefit for his next fight the Pacquiao vs Marquez 3, if I was Pacquiao and by watching how the fight ended I will be giggling and say my punch has magic “abracadabra and kaboom my opponents sleeping in the floor”.

Well I hope Ramos will have a chance to read this many other people thought he could deliver a hell of a fight for Marquez, and allowed Marquez to test his current mental and physical state but instead of doing it (Likar Ramos) he just called it a day just after a strong punch landed in his face, well I can’t blame him maybe he just thought he was just there to lose the bout and there is no sense of trying to win and getting hurt for the rest of the round and still end of losing but I hope he just tried, one good thing this fight has achieve is it we are all sure that the Pacquaio vs Marquez 3, is sure to happen.

Pacquiao’s last bout, a unanimous decision victory over Shane Mosley, was shown in Showtime. Despite being criticized as a ‘boring’ fight, it earned Pacquiao the highest pay-per-view numbers of his career.

Marley cites a source who said that Top Rank has gone back to HBO.

“They’ve gone back to HBO, nothing against Showtime, because for the trilogy bout with Marquez, HBO has come up with a superior offer,” the source told Marley.

But Top Ranks public relations officer Lee Samuels told BoxingScene.com that no official decision has been made.

Samuels said that Arum and Top Rank President Todd duBoef are still reviewing the offers of both HBO and Showtime.

The fight, which will take place on November 12 in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, is creating a stir in Las Vegas, and everyone seems to have an opinion regarding the fight.

Richard Schaeffer, the chief executive office of Golden Boy Promotions, said that Pacman will once again beat “Dinamita” Marquez.

“Marquez will not win, Pacquiao will win,” Schaeffer said. “Marquez always comes to fight. It’s not gonna be easy for Pacquiao, but Pacquiao knows that it’s gonna be a good fight.”

International R&B pop singer Jay Sean also gives his nod to Pacquiao.

“Pacquiao is on top of his game,” Sean said. “Everybody wants to see Amir (Khan) fight Pacquiao, but they both train with the same guy.”

Sean also said that he will definitely watch the trilogy bout.

“I think he is an inspiration for so many people, and he is very, very entertaining to watch, so definitely I’m gonna be watching,” Sean said.

Marquez’ quest to fight Pacquiao for the 3rd time is raising eyebrows, as boxing people believe that the Mexican is seeking revenge for their previous bouts.

Pacquiao and Marquez have fought twice before with controversial results each time.

Pacquiao settled for a draw in their 1st meeting in 2004, despite knocking Marquez down 3 times in the 1st round.

In their 2008 rematch, Pacquiao once again knocked down Marquez in the 3rd round en route to a split decision win.

But Marquez’ fortitude inside the ring is not the only thing that is drawing attention, but also his practice in drinking his own urine while training.

Boxing scribe Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, however, is not a fan of Marquez’ unique training practice.

“I talked to him about that before, and he said that he will (continue to drink his urine). He believes that it helps him, it does not!” Iole said.

“It’s been proven by doctors that it does not. If he wants to do it, go ahead. His wife is probably not gonna kiss him in the morning,” he added.

Iole also said that Marquez’ practice will not affect at least one aspect of his upcoming fight with Pacquiao.

“He is gonna get punched in the face no matter what,” Iole said.

Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s trainer, called Marquez’ practice ‘ridiculous.’

“This is ridiculous. It’s a waste system. We have a waste system for a reason,” Roach said. “Waste means we throw it away.”

The upcoming fall will be a busy season for the boxing world. Aside from Pacquiao and Marquez’ trilogy bout, Floyd Mayweather Jr is also going to make his ring return against ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz in September.

But aside from the competition inside the ring, there is also the question of which fight will bring in more box office and pay-per-view sales.

“Sana ikilian na lang nila (I hope they cut it short),” said the Filipino pound-for-pound champion the other day.

The reason, he said, is because he wants to be back in the country for his live hosting of his new pet: a game show on TV.

The press tour for the Nov. 12 fight, promoter Bob Arum said, starts on Sept. 3 at the historic Araneta Coliseum.

Up next are stops in New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City. Already scratched from the original plan are stops in London and another Asian country.

Pacquiao’s newest game show, “Manny, Many Prizes,” is aired live on GMA-7 on Saturdays.

“We’ll be at the Araneta Coliseum in the morning and then I can host my show in the evening. Then we leave the following morning for New York,” he said.

For the Shane Mosley fight last May, the press tour took both fighters to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York and Washington, where the Filipino icon got the chance to meet President Barack Obama at the White House.

If Pacquiao insists, Arum will have to pull the strings to take the show to New York, LA and Mexico City in just five days.
